To restore the identity of children, so they can realize their great value and be a blessing to others.
WE BELIEVE in who our kids can become. WE BELIEVE they each have unique value and purpose in this world; a value and purpose that is given to them by their creator.
CARPE EVERY DIEM.
A song is just a song… until it’s not – until it morphs into an anthem that grabs hold of time and space and compels you to shout it out from the depths of your heart and lungs.
WE RISK relationship. WE RISK time. WE RISK energy.
All of these WE RISK because WE BELIEVE in who our kids are destined and created to be.
THE ENTIRE COUNTRY IS ON LOCKDOWN, and WE’RE OVER HERE ON 34TH STREET TRYING OUR BEST…
WE FIGHT against these voices of the past because WE BELIEVE in who our kids truly are. When THEY SEE in themselves what WE BELIEVE about them it is CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION.
COURAGEOUS YOUNG PRINCE
There was once a young prince who desperately wanted to be adopted by a family who would love him and be his forever. Having spent three years in foster care, his heart yearned for a permanent mother and father, but his desire could not be.
Each child is unique with unique needs and abilities. Because of this, WE EXPLORE.WE EXPLORE what and how to reach each child, helping them become the fullest versions of themselves – Realizing their Great Value and Being a Blessing to Others.
Summers at ACH generally follow the same intentionally-planned schedule orchestrated to make the most of this intensive time with our kids – taking them through events and messages that guide them in discovering their great value and becoming a blessing to others.
In the day to day – in our words – with our actions – with our time – WE DO.Through the day to day, we change a child’s life and cause generational change.
When you came to Amarillo Children’s Home a short nine months ago, we didn’t know how long we would get to be a part of your life or exactly what lay before us to face together.

COVID presented unique challenges this fiscal year that skewed our typical income percentages.
The percentage of income attributable to the state increased during this fiscal year, due in part to ACH increasing its census. Other categories realized a lower percentage because of slight decreases in market investments and contributions.
ACH carefully stewards every dollar raised and ensures all mission activity goes toward supporting kids in need. Foster care contracts require a high level of reporting to external agencies, directly impacting our administrative costs.
