Alana Mitchell brings extensive experience in ministry and administration to her role as Development Coordinator at Amarillo Children’s Home. She served for eleven years in an administrative role at First Presbyterian Church and spent ten years as Mentoring Director at Hope Choice Pregnancy Centers, where her work included coordinating a team of speakers who reached over 100 schools throughout the Panhandle. Her background in coordinating camps, retreats, and youth programs now shapes the way she supports ACH’s mission of restoring the identity of every child in our care.
Alana is happily married to her incredible husband and enjoys supporting his ministry at their home church alongside him. Outside of work, she volunteers in the toddler room at her church and heads to the gym to try to keep up with her kids. She’s a proud mom of two, cheering her son on at football games and enjoying the music her children create on clarinet, violin, piano, and flute. As a family, they love to travel and adventure together whenever they get the chance.
But Moses told the people, ‘Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today.’
