Happy New Year!!! As the memory of Christmas fades and a new year begins, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for you and The Children’s Home. We are so thankful for the many ways our “Children’s Home family” loved our kids this past year. The last several months have been especially humbling, as I have seen our kids loved on and cared for in so many tangible ways. I got to experience kids giving family teachers surprise gifts, as well as gifts to one another. Watching kids that came to us angry and hurt, choosing to be givers and celebrating the opportunity to bless others is overwhelming. Walking with kids from surviving to thriving is a journey that is not always easy. But today I am as proud as I can be of our staff and the kids that live here with us. Seeing the giving spirit of the kids and their love for others reveals the passion and the dedication of our staff, our volunteers, and you, our supporters.

As the new year begins, we will continue living out our mission to restore the identity of children so they can realize their great value and be a blessing to others.

Thank you for thinking of us as you are making plans: to lose weight, clean out that storage shed, write that novel, or whatever New Year’s resolution you are focusing on, we appreciate you including us in your 2017 thoughts.
