We love summer at Amarillo Children’s Home. During the summer, we get a chance to make memories as a family and give the kids experiences that will last a lifetime. YOU, our Amarillo community, always step up to help us make summer MAGICAL for our kids. This might mean sponsoring meals, donating supplies or giving generously to send our kids to camps and on mission trips. The following are ways that we’d love to get you involved in our summer activities.

1. In Kind Donations – Summer Wish List

Here are a few things we could really use for on campus and off campus memory-making:

2. Gear for JUNE Hiking Trip

We take the teens on a hiking trip and it’s always a life changing experience for them. We need the right gear (new or gently used) to keep them safe and healthy. These would be for 12-15 year olds, so young adult to adult sizes.

• Long Sleeve Hiking Shirts – wicking
• Short Sleeve Hiking Shirts – wicking

3. Goodies / Treats

We welcome summer fun treats ANYTIME, like…

• Sonic gift cards for the occasional happy hour run
• Snow cone runs

4. Grill Maintenance & Repair

We need our portable grill / grill trailer to be worked on and improved. This could be a great project for a men’s group.

5. Sponsor a STIR Night – [Has been graciously covered by donors!]

(Hebrews 10:24-25) – On Wednesdays we gather in our auditorium to worship, play games, learn about God, and share our stories with each other. We would love for you to get involved by providing the meals for the night and join us for fellowship!

6. Inflatable Water Slide Rental – $600 – [Has been graciously covered by donors!]

We’re hoping we can get a donation for this rental or a donation of the rental itself…help us out!
